Personal Profile
Yin Tengjiao, styled Mo Zhen, and known by his studio name “Yuewei Caotang Master,” comes from a family with deep scholarly roots. Since childhood, he has been immersed in classical Chinese literature, history, philosophy, Tang poetry, Song lyrics, and master calligraphers’ rubbings, extensively studying them all. Diligently practicing day and night, he never ceases his brushwork—studying Yan and Liu styles, following the traditions of the Two Wangs, and passionately devoted to the cursive scripts of Zhang Xu and Huai Su. While respecting ancient masters, he avoids rigid imitation, widely absorbs strengths from various schools, and has developed his own distinctive style—powerful brushstrokes, coherent spirit and rhythm, and versatile ink techniques. Yin Tengjiao has traveled and studied across China, during which he was fortunate to receive guidance and instruction from several renowned contemporary calligraphers and seal engravers, including Mr. Jiang Weisong and Mr. Liu Bingsen, a master of clerical script. In 2012, he established the Yuewei Caotang Studio, dedicated to the research and creation of calligraphy and seal carving works. His calligraphy integrates regular, cursive, clerical, and seal scripts in harmonious and radiant compositions, featuring ingenious layouts, exquisite elegance, and refined grandeur. His works are collected by numerous domestic entrepreneurs and overseas Chinese, and are often presented as precious gifts to foreign dignitaries.   Currently holds positions as: Vice President of the Shandong Branch of the “China Taishan Calligraphy and Painting Academy”; Director of the “China Confucius Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute”; Vice President of the “Shandong Huihuang Calligraphy Academy”; Serves as a soft- and hard-pen calligraphy instructor at multiple large-scale training institutions, and is an invited calligrapher for several well-known domestic calligraphy and painting academies. He is among the outstanding young calligraphers, with considerable appreciation potential for his works.
