Wang Zhengshan, courtesy name Zhongyue, was born in November 1952 in Jiayuwang Village, Rongcheng City, Shandong Province.
A member of the Communist Party of China, with a university education, he taught for nearly 40 years and served as principal of an elementary school, head of a middle school department, secretary of the town’s education Youth League committee, chief counselor of the Young Pioneers, preschool education counselor, and chairman of the labor union. He was awarded the title of “Shandong Province Outstanding Young Pioneers Counselor.” Now retired, he currently serves as an art and calligraphy instructor at the Rongcheng City Women and Children’s Activity Center. He has received numerous honors including “National Outstanding Calligraphy Instructor,” “Chinese Red Artist,” “2016 National Advanced Worker in Literature and Art,” “Leading Figure in Contemporary Chinese Literature and Art,” “Outstanding Talent in Contemporary Fine Arts and Calligraphy,” “Red Artist Promoting Mao Zedong Thought,” “World Record Creator Wang Fuzhi Award Outstanding Artist,” “2018 National Advanced Figure in Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting,” “Heritage Artist,” “Outstanding Artist of the New Era,” and “Outstanding Artist for Calligraphy and Painting the Chinese Dream.”
