Personal Profile
Gao Licheng, pen name Gao Fei, styled Miao Zhi, also known as Master of Xiangyun Studio and Hermit of Caolu.
Born in 1982 in Gaotang, Shandong, he began studying calligraphy at the age of eight under family guidance, initially learning the styles of Yan and Liu, later focusing on Ouyang Xun’s regular script while also practicing clerical script.
In 2000, he graduated from the Southwest Hard-pen Calligraphy Training School in Chengdu, Sichuan. In his spare time, he visited numerous renowned calligraphers and greatly benefited from their mentorship.
Currently holds the following positions:
Member of the Shandong Provincial Poetry Society;
Honorary President of the Calligraphy and Painting Association at Heilongjiang University of Science and Technology;
Member of Shandong Red Calligraphy and Painting Academy;
Member of Shandong Jinzhou Seal Society;
Member of Liaocheng Calligraphers Association;
Director of Gaotang County Calligraphers Association;
Secretary-General of Hanmo Qingyuan Calligraphy and Painting Academy;
Vice President of Hengyi Calligraphy and Painting Academy;
Contracted Calligrapher of Mobao Pavilion Calligraphy and Painting Academy;
Contracted Calligrapher of Huayixuan Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
His calligraphy works have been exhibited in various calligraphy and painting exhibitions across China and have won multiple awards. His works are collected by friends both domestically and internationally.
