Yan Xiaoping Courtesy name: Yiming, Art name: Changbai Mountain.
Graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Landscape painter, disciple of renowned landscape master Sun Ying (Dashi), and second-generation disciple of Ku Chan.
Currently holds the positions of:
Member of CCTV Education Channel’s Ink and Wash Danqing;
Co-founder of the Artist Development Forum of China National Art Network.
Her landscape paintings are grand and majestic, bold and profound; her small works are elegant and exquisite, vividly expressing the natural features of Changbai Mountain and the cultural characteristics of the Baiyi ethnic group in Yanbian. With her unique perspective and artistic philosophy, she has won the favor of collectors worldwide. Having painted for many years at Dong Liuli Factory, she is hailed as a cultural ambassador of the East. Her biography has been translated into 35 languages, and her works are collected by artists and friends around the globe. She has served as a cultural ambassador to countries including Japan and Singapore.

1992, work selected for the China-Japan Diplomatic Relations Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition;
1993, “Banana Leaf Lady” selected for the National Painting and Calligraphy Friendship Exhibition (Hebei-Beijing-Jiangsu), awarded Third Prize;
1998, works “Honghao Striking the Clouds” and “Peaceful Dwelling” selected for preliminary round of the 2nd National Exhibition of Fine-Brush Bird-and-Flower Paintings;
April 2002, “Friendship Forever” selected for China-Japan Ink Painting Exchange Exhibition;
2006, Beijing Guopai Auction House held a dedicated auction专场 for her landscape works, auctioning 19 pieces;
Early 2019, her works were printed as postage stamps and postcards by China Post and Telecommunications.
