Personal Profile

Sun Fengye, courtesy name Qiuhong, pen name Buyi Moke. Original name Sun Fengye. Born in 1959 in Qiansun Village, Yuhuangmiao Town, Shanghe County, Jinan City, Shandong Province. Graduated from Shanghe No. 3 High School in 1977 and subsequently engaged in farming; served as the village’s accountant for weddings and funerals. Loved calligraphy since childhood, extensively studied and practiced master calligraphers’ works, diligently learning from their strengths. Joined China Calligraphy and Painting Encyclopedia Network and China Calligraphy and Painting Network I in 2018. In October 2018, received the certificate of “Leading Figure in Calligraphy and Painting in the New Era.” Awarded the title of “Peasant Calligrapher.” In January 2019, became a member of Qingdao Minchao Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute. In March 2019, included in the commemorative postal album celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. In April 2019, participated in Jinwang Calligraphy and Painting activities and received the honorary title of “Famous Calligrapher,” with works featured in the 36 Toutiao Album on Baidu. In January 2020, received the “Calligraphy and Painting Inheritance Figure” honorary certificate. In June 2020, joined the China Calligraphers Association.
