Yang Renen

Yang Renen, alias Zihou, style name Guangda. Born in 1957 in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China. Graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Shandong Textile Institute. Currently: Special invited painter at Beijing Three Gorges Painting Academy and Beijing National Painting Academy; Member of the Shandong Branch of the Chinese Artists Association; Director of Qingdao State Painting Academy; First-class fine arts teacher at China Three Gorges Painting Academy; Special invited expert at China Great Wall Painting Academy; Research fellow at Beijing Zhonglian Guoxing Painting and Calligraphy Academy; Academician of Beijing Century Famous People International Painting and Calligraphy Academy. In 1989, graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Shandong Textile Institute, and further studied at the postgraduate course of Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2006. Completed the Master's Degree in Chinese Painting Modeling Art course at Central Academy of Fine Arts in July 2008. Has a solid foundation in Western painting and Chinese painting, and his works have traditional artistic roots and modern artistic styles. His personal works have won awards such as the Outstanding Award for the Commemoration of Confucius' 2500th Birthday, the Outstanding Award of the "Haichao Cup" National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition, and the Outstanding Award of the National Chinese Painting Nomination Exhibition; The work "Gurgling Spring in Secluded Valley" won the Excellent Award of the "Commemoration of Confucius' 2500th Birthday National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition" hosted by the Chinese Artists Association; "Lushan Immortal Realm" participated in the 2004 National Chinese Painting Nomination Exhibition; "The Scenic Spot of Mount Jufeng" won the Honor Award of the Top 100 of the "Friendly Cup" Cross-Straits National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition in Guangdong. In September 2010, he won the Gold Award of the National Middle-aged and Elderly Painting and Calligraphy Competition to Commemorate Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Death for 85 Years and the 99th Anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution; "Huashan Peaks" won the Silver Award of the "100 Works Exhibition of Famous Chinese Painters" in December 2010, and was exhibited in Hong Kong; In February 2010, he was included in the "Selected Works of New China Artists"; In December 2010, he was awarded the title of "Patriotic Artist" at the National Tour Exhibition of "Red Flag Ode Patriotic Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition"; In June 2011, he was invited by the Fishery Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture to comfort the border guards in the Xisha Islands; "Spring in the Secluded Valley" won the Gold Award at the "International Exchange Exhibition of Chinese and Korean Artists Entering Korea Lishui Expo" in July 2012; In September 2014, "A Ten Thousand Mile Map of the Great Wall" won the Excellent Award of the National Theme Painting Competition of the Chinese Dream Journey; In September 2014, he attended the Calligraphy and Painting Seminar held by the Chinese Talent Research Association's Calligraphy and Painting Talent Committee at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. His works have been collected by friends from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and South Korea.
