Personal Profile

Wang Xiaojun, born in 1973 in Jinan, the City of Springs, studied under the renowned artist Master Yunmenzi.

He currently serves as Vice President of the China Loving Heart Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, painter at the Quancheng Painting Academy of Shandong, traditional Chinese painter at the Qilu Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, member of the Shandong Provincial Artists Association, and member of the Jinan Municipal Artists Association.

Wang Xiaojun began painting from an early age and has explored a wide range of subjects. He now specializes in freehand-style flower-and-bird painting, particularly excelling in ink bamboo and eagles. His ink bamboo paintings exhibit integrity, humility, and modesty, echoing the legacy of Master Banqiao; his eagle paintings display varied postures—majestic and unrestrained—whether standing in lofty contemplation or soaring powerfully against the wind, radiating noble dignity vividly on paper! Under the guidance of his mentor and through studying ancient masters, Wang Xiaojun integrates his personal insights into nature, accumulated knowledge, and inspiration, gradually developing his own distinctive brushwork style and artistic mastery. His works have been exhibited domestically and internationally and have won numerous awards in various competitions.

His recent works have received the First Prize in Painting at the “Commemorative Art Competition for the 123rd Anniversary of Mao Zedong’s Birth,” the First Prize in Traditional Chinese Painting at the “Shandong Provincial Community Education Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition,” the Bronze Award at the 17th National “Lushan Cup” Calligraphy and Painting Competition, selection and award at the First “China-Korea Art Exchange Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition,” inclusion in Japan’s “Elegant Travels Collection,” “Calligraphy and Painting Collection Celebrating the National Day and Welcoming the 19th National Congress of the CPC,” and “Outstanding Calligraphy and Painting Works Collection Celebrating the 67th Anniversary of the Founding of the PRC,” and was invited to participate in the “Celebrating the 19th National Congress of the CPC—Contemporary Masters’ Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition and First Release of Chinese Contemporary Masters’ Art-themed Postage Stamps.”
