Yang Lianfu, male, Han ethnicity, born in 1956 in Weifang. Ancestral home: Yangjiabu, the hometown of Chinese New Year paintings. Since childhood, he has been fond of calligraphy and painting. In the 1970s, recommended by the Chinese Arts and Crafts Master Mr. Yang Xiuyi, he became a disciple of Mr. Guo Lancun, studying figure and animal painting. Later, introduced by Master Lancun, he studied flower-and-bird painting under Mr. Guo Jingren. At the same time, under the guidance of both teachers, he studied calligraphy, practicing regular script based on Liu Gongquan’s “Mystery Pagoda Stele,” Yan Zhenqing’s “Duobao Pagoda Stele,” and Zhao Mengfu’s “Danba Stele.” For running script, he took Wang Xizhi’s “Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Collection” and “Preface to the Sacred Teachings” as models. Later, he studied clerical script under Mr. Zhang Jizhong. After retirement, he continued studying flower-and-bird painting at the Beihai Calligraphy and Painting Academy, receiving profound guidance from Mr. Guo Yongzeng. His works have been exhibited and awarded in provincial, municipal, district, and industry-level exhibitions. Currently, he is a member of the Weifang Calligraphers Association, Beihai Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Oriental Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and a flower-and-bird painting instructor at the Weifang Senior Citizens University.
