Wu Mengtang, male, born on September 19, 1951, in Yanzhou, Shandong. Since childhood, he has been influenced by his elder brother Mr. Wu Mengyu’s calligraphy. For decades, he has persistently studied and copied numerous stele inscriptions and calligraphic works from various dynasties, extensively exploring Qin seal script, Han clerical script, and Jin-Tang running and regular scripts. He is especially skilled in clerical script, regular script, and seal carving.

His family tradition values charity and benevolence, and he conducts himself with virtue. He frequently participates in public welfare activities, visiting nuclear submarine units, nursing homes, and mountainous area primary schools to offer comfort and donate artworks. He has repeatedly taken part in charitable sales to aid the disadvantaged and has participated countless times in various calligraphy exhibitions, winning gold and silver awards more than ten times. His works have been featured in special editions of newspapers and magazines, and many pieces have been collected by international friends.
