Zhang Hongliang, pen name: Limò, alternative name: Hóngrú Yǎliàng, born in September 1977, is a native of Heze City, Shandong Province. Since the age of nine, he has been deeply fascinated by the art of calligraphy. In his youth, he studied the regular script of Liu Gongquan; during middle school, he developed a strong interest in clerical script and practiced by copying famous Han dynasty steles such as the Cao Quan Stele and Yi Ying Stele.
He once studied under the contemporary master of clerical script, Mr. Liu BingSen, tirelessly dedicating day and night to his practice until achieving both spiritual essence and physical form, eventually innovating and establishing his own unique style.
He is currently a Master of Traditional Chinese Culture, National First-Class Calligrapher, Research Fellow at the Chinese Calligraphy Research Institute, Member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association,State-Gift Artist,Beijing Guangzhao Culture Co., Ltd. contracted artist, Beijing Shuyi Culture Co., Ltd. contracted artist, and Academician of Beijing 369 Celebrities Calligraphy and Painting Academy!

Award History:
In September 2016, Mr. Zhang signed a contract with Mr. Zhang Haoliang, General Manager of Beijing Guangzhao Culture Co., Ltd., becoming the first contracted artist!
In June 2020, Mr. Zhang signed a contract with Mr. Ni Shuyi, Chairman of Beijing Shuyi Culture Co., Ltd., becoming the first calligraphy artist!
In September 2020, Mr. Zhang signed a contract with Mr. Yue Xing, President of Beijing 369 Celebrities Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and was appointed as an academician, becoming the first calligraphy artist!

Mr. Zhang specializes in clerical script while also practicing running script and seal script. His clerical script works are characterized by open, balanced compositions, expansive and unrestrained strokes, with characters predominantly adopting horizontal orientations, occasionally incorporating elongated or square structures. Horizontal strokes flow smoothly, while vertical strokes remain restrained and steady, endowing the structure with an elegant, generous, and gracefully dynamic quality. The expansive composition, unrestrained brushwork, and refined aesthetic expression reflect the calligrapher’s artistic ingenuity and creative confidence—seeking stability amid dynamism and expressing freedom with boldness. His works have won multiple awards in national calligraphy competitions and have been collected by numerous domestic corporations and individuals.
