Yue Guihua, styled Hongru Artist, was born in 1967 in Shen County, Shandong Province, and currently resides in Jinan. He is a member of the Shandong Artists Association, vice president of Qilu Yihexuan Painting and Calligraphy Academy, council member of Confucius Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, member of China New Youth Painting and Calligraphy Academy, and member of Shandong Painting and Calligraphy Research Society. Since childhood influenced by his grandfather, he has loved painting, especially fish, "Two Dragons Playing with a Pearl," "Phoenix Playing with Peony," tigers, and fine horses. At the end of 1983, he joined the military and became a member of the Communist Party of China. In his spare time, he diligently studied painting on his own, thoroughly read Xu Beihong's collections, carefully copied Xu Beihong's works, and frequently went to parks for sketching. In 1986, he participated in a traditional Chinese painting training class organized by his former army unit stationed in Zhangjiakou, where he received valuable instruction from Qi Lianshi, a master of the Qi school, greatly improving his painting skills. After being transferred to civilian work, he studied landscape painting under Zhao Dexun, a senior painter at Jinan Cultural Palace and disciple of Zhang Zhimin and Zhang Baozhu, who is also a member of the China Artists Association. He has been patiently guided multiple times by Zhang Zhimin, the honorary chairman of the Shandong Artists Association and a student of Lu Yanshao. He primarily focuses on flower-and-bird and landscape paintings, while also practicing calligraphy. He excels particularly in painting horses, tigers, dragons, and phoenixes, and is the founder of a new contemporary technique for painting carp. His representative work, "Five Blessings Arrive with Good Fortune," has obtained national copyright protection. His artworks are collected by collectors both domestically and internationally!
