Personal Profile

Liu Jun, styled as the Master of Qibao Studio, was born in 1971 in Laiyang, Shandong, and currently resides in Jinan. He presently serves as a council member of the Shandong Calligraphy and Painting Society and the dean of Qibao Studio Calligraphy and Painting Academy. Passionate about calligraphy and painting since childhood, he now specializes in freehand-style flower-and-bird painting, characterized by a distinctive style, robust brushwork, unrestrained expressiveness, and powerful momentum. His works have been exhibited multiple times both domestically and internationally and published in various periodicals. He participated in Russia in the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Masters Exhibition themed “Fragrant Ink, Beautiful China,” co-hosted by the Moscow Chinese Cultural Center, Shandong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Shandong Friendship Publishing House, Shandong Artists Association, Shandong Calligraphers Association, and Nishan Book House. He was invited to Thailand, where he was awarded the “Outstanding Contribution Award for Human Culture and Art” and honored as “Lifetime Ambassador of China-Thailand Friendship” by the Thai royal family. His traditional Chinese paintings have been collected by the Thai royal family.
