Personal Profile

Wu Bingqiang, styled Yunli, born in January 1954, is a native of Rushan, Shandong. He has loved calligraphy since childhood and in middle age became a disciple of Mr. Yu Chungui, a master of left-handed Chinese calligraphy. He diligently studied painting and calligraphy, and his works have won the Excellence Award in the China Cross-Strait Calligraphy Competition; the Excellence Award in the Vocational Education Calligraphy Exhibition organized by the Shandong Provincial Department of Labor; and multiple awards in calligraphy competitions organized by the Weihai and Rushan Calligraphers Associations. In 2018, he won the First Prize in the First "Zhongtai City Cup" Couplet Calligraphy and Painting Competition held by Beijing Shuangyou Calligraphy and Painting Academy at Fuyan Mountain in Weifang. He is currently a member of the Weihai Calligraphers Association and a director of Weifang Oriental Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
