Personal Profile

Su Maotong, pen name Su Mo, also known as Leshan Daoren and Daxuanzhai Master, was born in 1958 in Shandong Tai’an. He is a senior artist, scholar-painter, and art educator; member of the China Painters Association and the China Fan Art Society; Vice President of the Beijing Dicui Studio Calligraphy and Painting Academy and the Oriental Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, as well as Director of the Art Committee, and a renowned landscape painter. Mr. Su Maotong has devoted thirty years to diligent artistic cultivation in the painting world, especially excelling in freehand landscape and flower-and-bird painting.
