Yu Longquan, male, born in January 1958.
Native of Weifang City, Shandong Province; courtesy name: Zhengyang, art name: Mo Le Elder.
Has loved calligraphy and painting since childhood, influenced and guided by his father and the elder Tan Pei, gradually maturing in artistic skills and laying a solid foundation for his artistic path.
Has persisted in self-study of calligraphy for many years, diligently studying classical scripts and copying masterpieces without pause. Received instruction from teachers including Wang Yaojin of Beijing Runhan, as well as Kuai Ning, Jiang Zhongde, and Wang Yijun. Proficient in regular script, clerical script, running script, cursive script, and seal script, and furthered studies at municipal professional art institutions. Currently serves as a member and Deputy Secretary-General of the Oriental Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and as a member of the Military Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
