Tian Tingwei, pen name: Tian Geng, alias: Yu De Shui, alias: Wu Ting Shan Cun, alias: Ji Gong Living Buddha, born in 1981 in Dong'e, Shandong, the former residence of Cao Zhi, the hometown of General Tian Weixin, and the birthplace of Ejiao. He is a native of Dong'e County, Shandong, currently residing in Jinan. Han ethnicity, with a junior college education, he is a young Shandong calligrapher and painter engaged in the business of antiques and artworks. In 2017, inspired and guided by renowned calligrapher President Kong Qingxu, Vice President Meng Qingjiang, and teachers Li Sen and Sun Yuren, he embarked on the path of calligraphy and painting, studying bird-and-insect seal script, horse-and-eagle seal script, as well as painting fish and bamboo. He expresses gratitude to these four teachers. He has consulted a vast amount of calligraphy and painting materials, persistently drawing nourishment from ancient masterpieces, respecting tradition without being bound by it, and never ceasing his brushwork. Adhering to the principles of love, practice, specialization, perseverance, and mastery in calligraphy and painting, he has devoted himself to diligent study and gained profound insights. President Kong Qingxu advised him to write and practice more to achieve excellence, assuring him that effort never betrays dedication and wishing him success. In recent years, his artworks have frequently been collected by calligraphy and painting enthusiasts and collectors.
