Du Ping's Seal Carving
Personal Profile
Du Ping, originally named Du Yongping, courtesy name Runshi, pseudonym Yeshi, was born in 1963 in Tanjiachangyuan, Dongguan, Weifang City, Shandong Province.
He has loved seal carving since childhood and received guidance from his启蒙 mentors Chen Shourong and his uncle Zhang Jianshi. His works were selected for the “Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Weifang Internment Camp” and received awards. He has participated in events organized by the Chinese Hanlin Academy Calligraphers and Painters Association, the Yuandu Military Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Society, the First Wanyin Building Award, and the International Seal Carving Competition.
Currently holds the following positions:
Member of the China National Academy of Fine Arts;
Member of the Weifang Municipal Arts and Crafts Association;
Contracted artist of the Chinese Artists Exhibition Hall;
Member of the Weifang Calligraphy and Painting Friendship Association;
Member of the Seal Carving Committee.
