Xu Jianhang, with the studio name "Yiwei Mountain House", is currently a member of the Shandong Province Calligraphy Association, a standing director of the Qingdao Youth Calligraphy Association, and the vice chairman of the Pingdu Youth Calligraphy Association.
Since childhood, he has been fond of calligraphy. Initially, he studied the regular script of Liu and Yan, and later, under the guidance of Mr. Cui Chuanfu and Mr. Zou Fangchen, began to explore famous steles and rubbings from various dynasties and understand the history of calligraphy from ancient to modern times. He particularly enjoys pursuing and studying the brushwork of Song Dynasty calligraphers.
He has participated in many training courses and national exhibition sprint classes organized by the Shandong Province Calligraphy Association and the China Calligraphy Association. In 2015, he entered the studio of the renowned national calligrapher, the winner of the Fifth Lan Ting Award, and the highest award recipient of the Sixth Lan Ting Award, Master Jiang Lezhi, for systematic study of calligraphy. He emphasizes rooting in tradition, nurturing his characters through literature, making friends through calligraphy, and conducting various activities related to calligraphy art exchange.
