Personal Profile

Xu Shirong, styled Ziyang, and known as Danqingzhai Ledao Weng, is a contemporary master painter. Currently a member of the China Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, provincial Artists Association, Confucius Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, Yihe Xuan Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, Vice President of Qingfeng Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, and Vice President and full-time painter of Danqingzhai Academy of Painting. Born in 1959, currently resides in Shandong Province, Xiajin County. After graduating from university, he worked at the county’s Arts and Crafts Company and was awarded the title of Senior Artist. Passionate about calligraphy and painting since childhood, his启蒙mentor was the renowned sculptor and painter Fan Shiping. He later completed studies at the Correspondence University of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting, and subsequently received instruction from renowned painters Song Chenghai, Wu Shan Shi, and Nan Haiyan, establishing a solid foundation in calligraphy and painting.
