Ding Yuanguo, calligrapher, poet, root carving artist, pen name: Le Quan, styled: Yougu Mountain Hermit, master of Jincui Studio.  

Currently holds the following positions:
Member of the Chinese Couplets Society;
Shandong Provincial Calligraphy Association Member;
Linyi City Calligraphy Association Member; 
Standing Committee Member and Senior Calligraphy & Painting Inheritor of the National Celebrities Calligraphy and Painting Art Association;
Former Academic Judge of the Root Carving Committee of the China Folk Artists Association;
Advisor to multiple calligraphy and painting academies.

In 2012, awarded the title of “Top 100 Outstanding Calligraphers and Painters” by China Calligraphy and Painting Newspaper, and ranked first in the calligraphy category at a charity auction held at Linyi People’s Hall. Pioneered the Langya regional edition of the watermarked Lanting Xu, receiving acclaim from experts.
Multiple calligraphy papers have been selected by national-level top academic organizations.

In 2013, the calligraphy paper “Writing and Calligraphy Are Valuable When Combined” was selected for “The Contemporary Calligraphy Creation International Forum” hosted by theShanghai-based Chinese Calligraphers Association, and established the dialectical relationship: “Writing is like walking and talking; calligraphy is like singing and dancing.” The publication of this paper ended the long-standing conceptual confusion and debate in the calligraphy community regarding “calligraphy versus writing.” Subsequently, Calligraphy Newspaper published a brief notice: “The debate over the concepts of calligraphy and writing is no longer necessary.”

The calligraphy paper “Who Stole the Method of Character Writing?” was selected for the 2017 National “Discussing Education” Essay Competition hosted by the Ministry of Education.

Passionate about poetry and verse, authored the six-character long poem “Le Quan’s Leisurely Rhymes” titled “Poetry Narrates Linyi,” among other poetic and calligraphic works, published in multiple books and periodicals; independently developed “Regional Edition Lanting Xu.”

Cultivating temperament through calligraphy, seeking joy through calligraphy, repaying maternal kindness through calligraphy, expressing emotions through poetry, cultivating body and mind in harmony.
