Gong Mingxin, female, pen name Mingrun, native of Huantai, Shandong, is a professional painter. She serves as a council member of the China I Ching Research Association, a council member of Chinese Traditional Painting, and a member of the China Artists Association. She holds the title of National First-Class Artist and is recognized as one of the most collectible I Ching landscape painters. Her works have been exhibited and awarded multiple times, receiving high praise and affection from art enthusiasts and collectors.
      Several of her works are collected and displayed by the Beijing Hotel. Her paintings “Soaring Giant Dragon” and “The Wonders of Huangshan Mountain” have been presented as state gifts to foreign friends. Graduated from Shandong Institute of Light Industry Art and Design, she was born in 1980 into a scholarly family—her father being an enthusiast of calligraphy and painting—and chose landscape painting as her major in university. She has won awards in provincial and municipal calligraphy and painting competitions, and her works are collected by individuals both domestically and overseas. In 2002, she was honored as an Outstanding Young Contemporary Painter; in 2009, she received the title of Contemporary Chinese Young Painter. In 2020, her work “Evergreen Pines and Cypress Trees Symbolizing Eternal Spirit” was collected by the Huang Jiguang Memorial Hall. “After Fresh Rain in the Empty Mountains,” “Majestic Landscape Stretching Thousands of Miles,” “Clear Melody of Mountains and Waters,” and “Prosperous Nation Gathering Wealth” were acquired by the Beijing Yixing Think Tank Institute of Information Science at appraised value.
