Personal Profile

Cao Guilin, styled Yinxi, master of Yunxiang Studio, was born in 1962 in Zoucheng City, Shandong Province — the birthplace of Confucius and Mencius and the cradle of Confucian culture. Since childhood, he has been fond of painting and studied under Mr. Dong Zhu, inheriting his master’s authentic teachings. He diligently practiced traditional techniques by copying classical landscape paintings through the ages, advancing and preserving the lineage of Chinese ink painting. He currently serves as a member of the "China Modern Calligraphers and Painters Association," the "Mencius Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute," and the "Shandong Retirees’ Home Calligraphy and Painting Association." His works have been exhibited and awarded in the former "Qilu Transportation Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" and the "Shandong Provincial Social Organization Federation Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition."
