Personal Profile
Yang Wensen, Deputy Secretary-General, member of the China Artists Association, National First-Class Artist, and a prominent painter. He is also Deputy Secretary-General and member of the “Yi Hua Kai Tian” Painting Academy under China News Report, and a professional painter at the Ink and Wash Painting Academy of China Education Television. He graduated from Shandong University of Arts. Over the years, he has studied under renowned Chinese painting masters such as Fan Zeng, Liu Wenxi, and Li Xueming, focusing on their artistic theories and painting techniques. He furthered his studies in the Advanced Research Class at the China National Academy of Painting and the Elite Class of China Shenzhou Calligraphy and Painting Newspaper. He specializes in ancient freehand figure painting and landscape painting, deeply researching various expressive methods of his predecessors, inheriting tradition while drawing from diverse strengths. His works have been collected by national leaders, the National Museum of China, Zhongnanhai, the Great Hall of the People, and domestic and international collectors. His traditional Chinese paintings frequently win awards in national painting and calligraphy competitions and are regularly published in specialized art journals, China Calligraphy and Painting Newspaper, and Art Newspaper.   His traditional Chinese painting "Gathering of the Wise" won an Excellence Award at the Cross-Strait Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition hosted by the China Artists Association; "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove" received an Excellence Award at the China Calligraphy and Painting Art Exhibition; "Zheng Banqiao" was exhibited at a major painting and calligraphy exhibition hosted by the China Artists Association and was collected. In June 2008, he was selected as one of eight painters by the state to hold an exhibition in Malaysia. In 2012, he was invited as a special guest expert on the CCTV Finance Channel program "Yi Chui Ding Yin." In 2013, Yang Wensen was selected by Beijing Shenzhou Poetry and Calligraphy Newspaper as one of the top ten figure painters nationwide and entered the National Elite Calligraphy and Painting Class, receiving direct guidance and instruction from renowned national painters such as Mei Mosheng, Miao Zaixin, Ren Huizhong, Lao Pu, and Huo Chunyang. His work "Hard to Be Foolish" was collected by Chen Zhonghe, coach of the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team; "Visiting a Friend" was collected by the famous Chinese singer Jiang Dawei; "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove" was collected by Zhao Mantang, National People’s Congress Representative. In 2012 and 2016, he was invited twice to hold solo exhibitions in Fujian Wuyishan City.
