Personal Profile

Sun Guiguo, a native of Weifang and a member of the Communist Party of China, has loved painting since childhood. He studied under teachers Liu Guoqing, Ren Zhi, and Yan Quan, and graduated from the Tsinghua University Advanced Research Class for Freehand Flower-and-Bird Painting. National First-Class Artist,Shandong Provincial Artists Association Member,Director of Weifang Municipal Artists Association,Member of Weifang Calligraphers Association,Vice President of China Yangjiabu Painting Academy,Shandong Oriental Chenlong Calligraphy and Painting Academy Vice President. His works have been published in numerous newspapers and periodicals. 1. Work "Perch" was selected for the National 24 Solar Terms Art Exhibition (hosted by China Artists Association). 2. Work "Autumn" was selected for the 19th New Artists and New Works Exhibition. 3. Work "Mighty Winds Across Ten Thousand Miles" won Shandong Province Excellence Award. 4. Work "Autumn Harvest" was selected for the 20th New Artists and New Works Exhibition. 5. Work "Farsighted Vision" won Shandong Province Excellence Award. 6. Work "Egrets Singing in Lotus Pond" was selected for the 6th National Freehand Flower-and-Bird Painting Exhibition. 7. "Happy Family" was selected for the 7th National Freehand Flower-and-Bird Painting Exhibition. 8. Work "Farsighted Vision" was selected for the National Invitational Exhibition Commemorating the 110th Anniversary of Deng Xiaoping’s Birth. 9. Work "Pine and Eagle" won First Prize in Weifang City’s Celebration of the 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC. 10. Work "Vegetable Fragrance" won Second Prize in Weifang Artists Association’s Sketching Competition.
