Wang Cundong, a native of Maozizhuang, Nianlibao Subdistrict, Kuiwen District, Weifang City, Shandong Province, was born on December 5, 1970, and is a member of the Communist Party of China. He currently serves as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Xinmao Community, Nianlibao Subdistrict, and Deputy Director of Maozizhuang Shareholding Economic Cooperative. Passionate about painting and Chinese ink painting since childhood, he especially admires Zheng Banqiao’s orchids and Qi Baishi’s shrimp. Possessing solid foundational skills, his works are widely appreciated by collectors. Diligent and eager to learn on his artistic journey, he has traveled extensively to seek guidance from masters and build friendships within the art community, connecting with many renowned figures in the calligraphy and painting world. His mentor is the celebrated collector Mr. Pan Jianqiang. The name of his studio, “Lanya Ju” (Orchid Elegance Studio), was inscribed by the renowned calligrapher and painter Professor Shi Zhenhua. He has participated in numerous national calligraphy and painting competitions. Currently, he is a member of the Weifang Mao Zedong Calligraphy Art Research Association and an academician of the Weifang Xingdong Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
