Wang Shaoying, male, courtesy name: Luhan, alias: Master of Pinyi Studio, member of the Communist Party of China, born in Zoucheng City, Shandong Province, the hometown of Mencius. Currently: China Art Inheritance Master, National First-Class Calligrapher, member of the Shandong Calligraphy and Painting Society, member of the Zoucheng Calligraphers Association,member of the Zoucheng Mencius Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute,Deputy Director of Fuyi Jingshe Gallery, Deputy Director of Yufengxuan Art Museum. Wang Shaoying began studying Tang dynasty regular script at the age of eight, later practiced Wei-Jin running-cursive script and Han dynasty clerical script for many years. As a native of Mencius’ hometown, he has been deeply interested in traditional culture since childhood. His works have been collected by numerous organizations and individuals; notably, his large-scale calligraphy of the character “寿” (longevity) was collected by the Chinese Longevity Culture Association. In September 2019, he was publicly awarded via the People’s Art WeChat Official Account — conferred the title of “People’s Artist.” In December 2019, he received the title of “2019 Chinese Overseas Calligraphy and Painting Artist of the Year.”In July 2020, he was awarded the title of “Leading Figure in Contemporary Art.”
