Ye Chuan: A Contemporary Chinese Freehand Brushwork Painter of Unique Talent Ye Chuan: Academician of the Chinese Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, National First-Class Artist, Director of the China Art Milestone Association, Member of the China Cultural and Art Research Center, Member of the Shandong Branch of the Chinese Historical and Cultural Research Society, and Director of Dongying Artists Association. Mr. Ye Chuan (Cui Dianhong), styled "Dongfang," pen name "Ye Chuan," studio name "Qihuan Xuan"; male, Han ethnicity, graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University. Born in 1970 in Zibo City, Shandong Province, he has loved art since childhood and was initially tutored by the renowned painter Zha Qidian. He earned his master's degree from Tsinghua University’s Department of Fine Arts under the mentorship of Professor Qiao Sen, a master of freehand bird-and-flower painting at Tsinghua University, as well as the eccentric genius Yu Shilin and the leading figure in freehand bird-and-flower painting, Zhang Lichen. Artwork "Embrace Tomorrow" Artwork "Plum Blossoms with Distant Fragrance" Artwork "Spring Blossoms and Autumn Fruits" Artwork "Tranquility Leads to Far-reaching Vision" Mr. Ye Chuan absorbs the essence of masters, developing a unique and distinctive painting style entirely his own. His works not only demonstrate profound traditional foundations but also embody strong contemporary characteristics. His style (vigorous, weighty, bold, rugged, unrestrained, with rich and moist colors and strong visual contrasts) creates a powerful visual impact, employing ink tones ranging from the five colors to subtle shades of light ink. Mr. Ye Chuan’s artwork [Bountiful Harvest] is collected by the Canadian Museum of Fine Arts; artwork "Bountiful Harvest" August 2019; artwork [Autumn Fruits] was collected by the Beijing Art Museum; (artwork "Autumn Fruits") October 2019, artwork [Autumn Harvest] was collected by the China-Japan Friendship Association and housed in Kyoto’s Hall of Fame, Japan; artwork "Autumn Harvest" Many more outstanding works have been selected as national diplomatic gifts, exchanged with cultural schools worldwide. Mr. Ye Chuan has made significant contributions to Chinese cultural art on the global stage.
