 Personal Profile
 Wei Jianting, a native of Jinan, Shandong, has been passionate about calligraphy and painting since childhood. He enlisted in the military in 1984 and came to Beijing, where he engaged in propaganda work within the armed forces.
In his spare time, he studied calligraphy and painting under renowned Beijing-based artists such as Qi Liangchi (style name: Mochun) and Fucha Zhuangjing. Later, he formally became a disciple of the master painter and calligrapher Mr. Sun Ju, focusing his studies on animal painting. His depictions of cats, monkeys, and dogs are vividly lifelike, full of spirit and form, giving viewers the impression that the animals might leap off the canvas. His works are highly favored by collectors.
His artworks have been exhibited in numerous major exhibitions both domestically and internationally and have received awards.
