Personal Profile
Zhao Jigang, also known as Xue Wa and Mo Xue Shan Ren, is affectionately called “Master Zhao,” “Snow Prince,” and “Master of Da Xue Hall” in the art world. Born in 1972 in Shandong, he studied under Li Songlin, a renowned disciple of Li Keran, and the celebrated painter Zhao Chunqiu. He graduated from the Advanced Creation Class of Zhao Chunqiu Studio at the China Ice and Snow Art Research Institute. Currently, he serves as a specially appointed painter at the China Ice and Snow Art Research Institute, a National First-Class Artist, and a Chinese State Guest Gift Artist.
His works feature grand scenes, vibrant yet tasteful colors, rigorous composition, delicate and unrestrained brushwork, and clearly defined layers. The画面柔和的恰到好处，给人一种自然清新、身临其境的感觉，在创作技法上做了大胆尝试，为充分表现大自然的气象万千，不拘于任何一种传统技法，讲究笔墨基础上运用了多种技法使人眼前一亮的视觉冲击力，作品被大量海内外书画爱好者收藏，被人们誉为冰雪画传播的使者，白桦王子称号当代实力派画家。
