Personal Profile

Lü Qingjie, styled Yichan, was born on April 10, 1973, in Wucheng County, Dezhou City, Shandong Province. A member of the Communist Party of China, he has been passionate about calligraphy since childhood and has practiced the wild cursive scripts of masters Zhang Xu and Huaisu for many years, developing his own unique calligraphic style. He holds a special admiration for Mao Zedong’s calligraphic art. Currently, he serves as an advisor to the Ocean Creation Base of China National Gift “Red Flag Fluttering” Calligraphy and Painting Academy, an academician of the Dezhou Branch of Sai Shang Luxi Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and Vice President of Zhongtian Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
