Zhu Qirui, styled Zhan Tang. A native of Zaozhuang, Shandong Province, he holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree and a Master's degree in Fine Arts from the Guangxi College of Arts, where his advisor was Zeng Laide, Vice President of the China National Academy of Painting.

He is a member of the first research project class under Professor Zeng Laide at the China National Academy of Painting, a member of the Central State Organs Artists Association, a member of the Chinese Couplet Society, a committee member of the Calligraphy Art Committee of the Chinese Couplet Society, a member of the China Calligraphers Association, a registered senior calligraphy instructor with the China Calligraphers Association, a member of the China Collectors Association, a council member of the Shandong Branch of the China Hard Pen Calligraphy Association, Secretary-General of the Art Committee of the Wang Xizhi Painting and Calligraphy Research Association, Vice President of Beijing Wanquan Academy, Vice President of the Zaozhuang Calligraphy and Painting Association, a council member of the Zaozhuang Calligraphers Association, Vice Chairman of the Taierzhuang District Calligraphers Association, and Deputy Director of the Taierzhuang District Painting Academy.

He has successively completed studies at the postgraduate program of the China National Academy of Painting and the research project class led by Zeng Laide at the China National Academy of Painting.

In 2014, he held the "Zhu Qirui, Yvan Lesoudier; Denis Blondel" Sino-French trio art exhibition in Magdeburg, Germany.
In 2015, he held the Sino-German calligraphy and photography duo exhibition featuring Zhu Qirui and Wolfgang Krebs in the ancient town of Taierzhuang, Shandong.

His works have been exhibited more than hundreds of times in major professional exhibitions both domestically and internationally. His calligraphy integrates the aesthetic tastes of stele studies into traditional brush techniques, pursuing a bold, natural, vigorous, and vivid artistic style. He excels particularly in the styles of Huai Su, Su Shi, Yi Bingchou, and Jin Nong.

His calligraphy works are collected by numerous academic institutions. Series of his works and academic papers have been published in specialized publications such as the "Calligraphy Newspaper." His personal features and artworks appear widely on many well-known national websites. Some of his works are engraved at famous historical sites and scenic spots and collected by prominent collectors at home and abroad.
