Personal Profile

Chen Baodong, male, Han ethnicity, born in 1964, originally from Lushan Village, Xuefang Town, Laiyang City, Shandong. He began studying traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy at the age of six under Master Chen Xiyi. During the Republic of China era, Master Chen studied literature and calligraphy in Qingdao under his revered teacher Dong Biwu, who later became Vice Chairman of the People's Republic of China. Since childhood, I have been rigorously trained by Master Chen, practicing famous calligraphic models through all seasons. I have participated in multiple national calligraphy competitions and won awards. Recently, I received the Second "Pu Songling Cup" National Fine Calligraphy, Painting and Seal Carving Competition Second Prize and was honored with the title of “Artist of Both Virtue and Artistry.” In November, I also won Third Prize in the "Binhong Cup" International Chinese Fine Calligraphy and Painting Competition and a Special Gold Prize in the "Chinese Elite Cup" National Calligraphy and Painting Competition.
