Personal Profile

Shi Gang, ethnic Han, born in 1970 in Zouping City, Shandong Province. Currently resides in Beijing. Graduated successively from the Advanced Calligraphy Research Class at the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, and the Advanced Art Research Class at the School of Art, Renmin University of China. Studied under masters Liu Jingfang, Jiang Yong, and Li Wei.
Currently serves as teaching assistant for the Advanced Calligraphy and Painting Research Class at the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University; Honorary President of Lishan Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Institute; Ambassador of Love for China Concerned Generation Working Committee. Has long been engaged in research and teaching of calligraphy and painting art. In recent years, has focused on education and practice of traditional culture.
Currently member of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association;
Member of the Chinese Oracle Bone Script Calligraphy Art Research Association;
Member of the Chinese Collectors Association;
National First-Class Artist.
