Jin Guihua, also known as Yi Hua, is from Jinan City, Shandong Province, born in 1948 in the hometown of peonies. From an early age, she has had a deep passion for painting and calligraphy. Throughout her long artistic journey, she has been fortunate to receive guidance from renowned masters such as Hei Bolong, Shan Yinggui, Yang Yue, Wang Fengnian, Wang Liye, and Zhang Baozhu. Through careful exploration and diligent study, she has learned the expressive techniques of famous artists, and her works radiate a bright and splendid beauty while exuding an elegant and refined quality, forming an artistic style that appeals to both connoisseurs and the general public. Her artworks have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions and collected by international friends from Russia, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Taiwan. They have also toured 17 provinces and cities across China. Her work won an award at the National Fine Art Exhibition celebrating the 56th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
Awards and Achievements
Won second prize in the 2002 China-Japan Painting and Calligraphy Competition; awarded in the "General Cup" National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition; won second prize in the "Welcoming Hong Kong’s Return" National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition; won first prize in the "Welcoming Macao’s Return" National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition; received second prize in the 15th Anniversary Exhibition of the Shandong Provincial Association of Painters and Calligraphers; won a silver award at the Second National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition “Splendid Beijing” in 2004; won a silver award at the National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition during the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and was honored as a National First-Class Artist. She has held multiple solo exhibitions and toured seventeen provinces and cities across China, receiving high acclaim from domestic and international art circles.
In September 2018, she won the gold award at the National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition held at the Beijing Confucius Painting and Calligraphy Gallery.
Her works have been collected by relevant leaders in Beijing. The famous landscape painter Mao Xuefeng in Beijing provided excellent inscriptions for her art collection.
On September 21, 2019, supported by the Jinan Yushan Painting Academy, she successfully hosted a large-scale painting and calligraphy exhibition celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the nation, which received high praise from renowned artists and leaders. Leaders from provincial and municipal levels, as well as international friends, sent congratulatory messages and greetings.
Currently, she serves as Vice President of the Chinese Charity Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, National First-Class Artist, Vice President of General’s Painting and Calligraphy Academy, member of the Shandong Artists Association, council member of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Association, and Senior Advisor of the Shandong Yushan Painting Academy.
