 Shi Lei, male, born in August 1969 in Tai’an, Shandong, ancestral origin Jishou City, Hunan Province, Miao ethnicity. Bachelor’s degree, Associate Professor. Studied successively at Heze Teachers College, Shandong Normal University, and the Beijing Painting Academy.
Currently a member of the China Artists Association, the China Fine Brushwork Painting Society, the China Ethnic Minority Art Promotion Association, the Shandong Artists Association, and the Shandong Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting Society.
More than twenty Chinese painting works have been selected and awarded in national art exhibitions organized by institutions such as the China Artists Association, Xiling Seal Engravers’ Society, and the China National Academy of Painting. Among them, the work “Qianjiang Tide Rising Step by Step” won the bronze award in a national art exhibition hosted by the Xiling Seal Engravers’ Society, exhibited at the China Art Museum and collected by the organizer. Works such as “Marvelous Scenery Transformed into Thoroughfares,” “Spring Arrives on the Plateau,” and “Highways Ascending into the Clouds” have been collected by multiple institutions and individuals, including the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, the Jiangsu Provincial Xu Beihong Research Society, and the Sichuan International Tourism Expo. His works and profile have been featured in publications and media such as China Art Newspaper, Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Art, Strait Art, Oriental Art, Shenzhou Poetry Calligraphy and Painting Newspaper, and the television column “Discussing Tea and Dao.” Exhibitions and Awards: In 2013, the work “Spring Arrives on the Plateau” was selected for the 3rd “Xu Beihong Award” National Chinese Painting Exhibition and collected.
