Wang Keli, styled Cangning, was born in 1955 in Liaoning Dalian, with ancestral roots in Shandong Muping. He is a master of arts and crafts. In his youth, he studied under his father Wang Bo (founder of shell carving) and learned from Kang Shiyao, while also studying the works of masters such as Wu Changshuo and Wang Xuetao. Starting with meticulous brushwork, he has practiced freehand brushwork for over 40 years and has also explored watercolor and oil painting. Professionally, he worked in design within the arts and crafts industry.
In 1982, his works "Light" and "Monkey" were selected by Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts and exhibited at the ABC Expo in West Germany.
In 1986, his works "Maternal Love" and "Martial Play" were exhibited at the Canada Expo.
In 2005, his work "Golden Fruits Hanging Full on Trees" won the Friendship Gold Award at the Cross-Strait Exchange Exhibition in Dalian and Taiwan.
In 2008, his work "Joyful Song of Emerald Pearls" was permanently collected by the Beijing Art Museum, with an official certificate issued.
In 2008, multiple works were presented by the Beijing Blue-and-White Porcelain Art Exchange Center to foreign friends; his paintings have been frequently published in newspapers and periodicals.
      His works have participated in national, provincial, and municipal exhibitions and received honors. Paintings have been gifted by city leaders to Southeast Asian countries and collected by friends from Europe, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other regions.
