Zhi Gang Lu, style name Zeqian, male, Han ethnicity, born in 1973, native of Hanting District, Weifang City, Shandong Province. He has loved calligraphy and painting since childhood. In his youth, he studied under masters Chen Shourong and Wang Depei, later furthered his studies at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Upholding the essence of traditional brushwork, he explores the profound principle of calligraphy and painting sharing the same origin. For decades, he has devoted himself to studying the works of Qi Baishi. Respecting tradition without being bound by it, he draws widely from diverse strengths, dares to innovate, and creates works of fresh style and refined elegance. His artworks have been widely exhibited and praised in countries such as the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, and Singapore.    In 2011, won an Excellence Award in the "Celebrating the 90th Anniversary of the Communist Party" large-scale calligraphy and painting exhibition hosted by the Weifang Propaganda Department.  In 2018, awarded Second Prize at the 28th Weifang On-site Sketching Exhibition.  In 2019, received a Commemorative Award in the logo design contest for the Bohai Corridor Party Education Base.
