Personal Profile

Liu Futao, a member of the Communist Party of China, was born in August 1967 in Tengzhou City, Shandong Province.

Currently serves as Academician of Changjian General Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of Beijing Zhenghe Jincheng International Art Academy, and Executive Vice President of Huaxia Literature and Art Academy.He is a contemporary Chinese calligrapher and painter, art theorist, aesthetician, connoisseur, and social activist. Passionate about calligraphy and painting since childhood,he has traveled extensively across China’s mountains and rivers, developing a unique artistic style.

In 2019, won third place in the online selection contest “Searching for Renowned Calligraphers and Painters.”
In December 2018, received the Special Contribution Award at the event commemorating the 125th anniversary of Chairman Mao Zedong’s birth.
In December 2018, representatives from all regions and sectors gathered at the BeijingHunan Building to jointly commemorate the 125th anniversary of the birth of the great leader Chairman Mao Zedong, pledging to thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, “remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind,” and strive hard to realize the Chinese Dream. At this commemorative conference, calligrapher Mr. Liu Futao made outstanding contributions and was awarded the Special Contribution Award.
In May 2018, the exhibition “New Era, New Huipai—40 Years of Fine Anhui Calligraphy and Painting in Beijing,” co-organized by the Publicity Department of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the CPC, the China Artists Association, the China Calligraphers Association, the National Art Museum of China, the Anhui Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the Anhui Provincial Department of Culture, opened at the National Art Museum of China. Mr. Liu Futao was invited to participate in the exhibition and discuss the development of Huipai calligraphy and painting in the new era.
In September 2017, his works were exhibited at the “Silk Road” Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition during the Kazakhstan World Expo and in international cultural exchanges. He was awarded the Lifetime Honorary Award for World International Culture and Art Peace and the title of “Belt and Road” Cultural and Art Ambassador by the China Cuisine and Culture Pavilion.
In November 2016, he was awarded the title of Love Ambassador at the Public Welfare International Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition organized by the Great Love China Calligraphers and Painters Volunteers Alliance.
