Personal Profile
Jicheng Jun, pen name Mo Wen, also known as Tenglong Jushi and Koubantang Master. Born in 1972 in Inner Mongolia, he studied at the Art College of the People’s Liberation Army, holding a university degree. From an early age, he was deeply influenced by his family’s tradition of calligraphy, developing a strong interest in the art form. He began with Liǔ-style script, later advancing to the styles of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi, and has explored regular, cursive, seal, and clerical scripts. He has continuously practiced calligraphy for years, integrating martial and literary cultivation by merging calligraphy with Tai Chi.
      In 1995, he won the Second Prize in the National New Artists Calligraphy Competition.
      In 2016, he received the Excellent Work Award in the National Ten-Thousand-Calligrapher Competition.
      In 2017, he won the Third Prize in the National “Zhenji Cup” Most Notable Calligrapher Competition and an Outstanding Award in the 10th National Calligraphy Competition. He is passionate about poetry and writing, having published nearly one hundred articles in provincial-level or higher military and civilian publications, and has authored the collection “Jicheng Jun’s Works.”
Currently, he is a National First-Class Artist, a National First-Class Judge of Fitness Qigong, a researcher at the China Confucius International Academy of Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting, Director of External Relations at Luoyang Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, a member of the Yangzhou Calligraphers Association, Deputy Secretary-General of the Yangzhou Eight Eccentrics Academy and Research Society, a council member of the Hainan Calligraphy and Painting Art Committee, a council member of the Yangzhou Sports and Cultural Exchange Association, a writer of the Guangling Writers Association of Yangzhou, and a contracted artist of Sanya Hongchang Culture and Media Co., Ltd.
