Lu Shengli, courtesy name Shengyi, art name Shengxuezi, master of Chanxin Hall, Han ethnicity. Born in 1970 in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, he is Vice President of the Baotou Hongda Cultural Society, Director of Xueyun Chanxin Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, and a member of the Baotou Artists Association. He graduated from the China Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University in 1992. In 2016, he studied ice-and-snow landscape painting under Zhao Chunqiu of the China Ice-and-Snow Art Research Institute and is currently a specially invited painter of the China Ice-and-Snow Art Research Institute and a correspondent for its official website editorial department. Formerly a member of Zeng Gang’s colored ink landscape painting studio, he serves as an art consultant for Guangdong Shengpeng Culture & Art Communication Center and Guangdong Lu Pengqiang Culture Communication Co., Ltd., having previously studied colored ink landscape painting under Zeng Gang and Shi Yunxiang.
The ice-and-snow landscape painting "Peach Blossoms Still Smile in the Spring Breeze" was exhibited in May 2018 at the "Great Pinggu, Ink-Wash Zhouzhuang Peach Blossom Festival" exhibition at the Pinggu Museum in Beijing. The ice-and-snow landscape painting "Bells Echoing from the Ancient Temple" was exhibited in May 2018 at the Shang Art Gallery in Huairou, Beijing. The ice-and-snow landscape painting "Fine Snowflakes Everywhere" was featured in the Baotou City Commemorative Exhibition Marking 40 Years of Reform and Opening Up in December 2018.
In January 2019, ten ice-and-snow landscape paintings were included in the National Ice-and-Snow Painting Online Micro-Exhibition.
In December 2019, the works "Seeking Chan" and "Rugged Mountains Covered in Auspicious Snow" were exhibited at the "Celebrating 70 Glorious Years: The 17th Launch Ceremony of Chinese Contemporary Art Master Philatelic Items" and the New Year's Eve Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition at the Nationalities Cultural Palace in Beijing, where they were collected. Several works have been selected and included in the "Chinese Philatelic Album."
In June 2020, the work "Mountains and Rivers Apart, Yet Sharing the Same Moon and Wind" was exhibited in the Baotou City Anti-Epidemic Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition.
In July 2020, multiple works participated in the "Practitioners of Chinese Cultural Revival" exhibition in Dubai, with several pieces being published in the Chinese Philatelic Collection.
In October 2020, he became a disciple of Hu Kun, founder of "Entering Painting Through Dao," studying and inheriting the traditional Chinese freehand brushwork technique for Buddhist figure murals.
