Lü Yuhong was born in October 1963 in Beizhen City, Jinzhou, Liaoning Province, into a family renowned for painting and calligraphy. He uses the pen name Yu Hong and is known by the art name Moyu Hongyuan. He is a member of the Jinzhou Artists Association, the Beizhen City Painting and Calligraphy Association, and the Beizhen City Poetry Association. Since childhood, he has been deeply influenced by his father’s artistic achievements in painting, developing a profound passion for fine arts and poetry creation. Later, through his own persistent efforts, he was admitted to Shenyang Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts; however, due to family financial constraints, he did not enroll. Nevertheless, he remained devoted to painting, repeatedly attending adult art classes for further study and receiving guidance from seasoned professional artists. He meticulously copied numerous masterpieces from ancient and modern masters, laying a solid foundation for his future artistic journey.He excels in landscape painting, meticulous ink-and-wash (gongbi), freehand brushwork (xieyi) floral and bird subjects, as well as figure painting. His landscape works are particularly majestic and richly expressive, with abundant ink and fluid washes. He has participated in numerous large-scale exhibitions at provincial and municipal levels, earning high praise from art professionals.Dancing through life with the colors of ink and brush, leaving behind the emotion of his own strokes.
