 Li Xiu, female, born in 1960 in Shenyang, Liaoning, is currently a professional painter and researcher at the Academy of Famous Artists and Calligraphers, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Public Welfare Alliance of Painters and Calligraphers.In her childhood, Li Xiu developed a passion for painting and calligraphy by copying figures and flowers and birds from comic books, laying a solid foundation for her future artistic studies.After completing junior high school, she became a disciple of the master of Gongbi painting, Hao Lijun, diligently enhancing her painting skills. Her current Gongbi works feature delicate themes that vividly express her personality and temperament, especially achieving a perfected and mature style reminiscent of Tang Dynasty painting. She even employs gold and silver leaf to achieve a luxurious and solemn effect, creating a style where gold and azure hues shimmer brilliantly.Gongbi painting is a Chinese painting technique characterized by meticulous and refined brushwork to depict subjects.
In 2016, she was honored as a Leading Figure in Contemporary Gongbi Figure Painting.
In 2017, she won the title of "People's Artist" at a major painting and calligraphy competition,and has received multiple awards in domestic painting and calligraphy competitions.Her works have been collected by national leaders and friends from countries such as the United States, Japan, Canada, Switzerland, Panama, France, and Germany.
