Personal Profile
He Dewei, born in 1981 in Liaoning Fushun, currently resides in Beijing, is a professional artist. He graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Liaoning Normal University and further studied at the Oil Painting Department of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts. He serves as a mentor at the China Art Source Heaven & Earth Artist Creation Center. His works are collected by important institutions such as Zhongnanhai, the Water Cube, Beijing Planetarium, as well as museums, galleries, and collectors both domestically and internationally.
Studied under Zhang Hongnian and Zhang Zhenyu.
In 1994, he won the Gold Prize in a watercolor exhibition for teenagers in Fushun City, Liaoning Province, themed on family planning.
In 2001, he received the Outstanding Award in the "Han Yu Golden Statue Cup" China Calligraphy and Painting Masters Masterpieces Exhibition.
In 2003, his work "Flowering Season" participated in the National Art Academies Faculty and Student Works Exhibition and won the Bronze Award.
In 2005, "[You and I Are Together]" won the Gold Prize in the Liaoning Province Iver Technique Competition: Chinese Classical Realist Oil Painting Masterpieces Exhibition.
In 2008, he participated in the First Songzhuang Road—Chinese Contemporary Realist Art Exhibition in Songzhuang, China;同年参加了《宋庄沙龙青年精品展》、《和平鸽》荣获优秀奖。
In 2009, "Human烟火" —— was selected as an outstanding work at the Paris Autumn Salon in France and toured multiple cities across France.
In 2010, "Research and Transcendence" Second Small-Scale Oil Painting Exhibition.
In 2013, his work "Red Powder Clan" participated in the Beijing eJinghua Art Alliance Exhibition;同年《五朵金花》入选第十二届辽w宁省美展。
In 2014, his work "Sea, Land, Air—Living Beings" was selected for the Beijing Artron Poly New Forces Nomination Exhibition, and he also participated in the First Realist Oil Painting Exhibition hosted by Beijing Bobao.
In 2015, his work "Spring Apricot" was exhibited at the Beijing 798 Classical Realist Elite Exhibition.
In 2016–2017, he participated in the International Huaqiu Auction Company's "Fusion and Creation" Chinese Oil Painting Zone; his work "Going Home" was selected for the Dafen Practical Revitalization Exhibition. At the end of 2017, he signed with Beijing Taihehui Culture & Media Co., Ltd.
In 2018, he participated in the Annual Exhibition of the Xu Beihong Academy Beijing Oil Painting Institute and the First Oil Painting Exhibition at JinYiQiao Art Space.
In March–April 2019, he exhibited in the National Youth Realist Oil Painting Exhibition organized by Art Zhongguancun (North Gallery of Haidian Art Museum).
In 2019, he participated in the Zhongdian International Spring Auction.
