Personal Profile

Wang Xianjun, styled Zimo, was born in December 1956. He graduated from Shenyang University of Technology with a bachelor's degree. Formerly Chief of the Planning Department of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army stationed in Heilongjiang Province, he held the military rank of Senior Colonel. Currently, he is a member of the Calligraphy Association of the Central Government Agencies, a Standing Director of the Board of Large-Character Calligraphy of the China Society for Art Research, a Director of the Heilongjiang Calligraphers Association, and a researcher at the Heilongjiang Academy of Painting. He is also a contracted calligrapher for the Heilongjiang Daily Group and Director of the Harbin Academy of Calligraphy and Painting.
