Fan Jiacheng
Fan Jiacheng, born in 1967 in Liaoning's Kaza, uses the studio name He Feng Tang. He is a professor at Liaoning Normal University. From an early age, he received family instruction and became deeply devoted to calligraphy, persistently practicing for many years. His calligraphy begins with seal and clerical scripts, drawing inspiration from ancient models. In regular script, he primarily studies Yan Zhenqing and Zhao Mengfu; in running script, he focuses on the classical models of Wang Xizhi, Mi Fu, and Wang Duo. He has diligently copied classic clerical script steles such as the Cao Quan Stele, the Zhang Qian Stele, and the Yi Ying Stele, and has also conducted research on small seal script, Wei stele script, and cursive script (Sun Guoting's Shupu). His works are refined in their expression of Dao, fresh and elegant, rich in ancient charm, fluid and profound, embodying the scholarly aura characteristic of literati calligraphy. He is currently a member of the China Hard-Pen Calligraphy Association and the Dalian Calligraphers Association, a dedicated instructor for calligraphy training at Liaoning Normal University, a specially invited examiner for the basic teaching skills assessment of normal students in the Liaoning Education Development Alliance, and an academic committee member of the Dalian Oracle Bone Script Society.
