Personal Profile

Du Yakun, from Tai'an, Liaoning. He is currently a National First-Class Artist, a member of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, a member of the China Artists Association, an advisor to Beijing Oriental Art Universe, a featured artist of the Sydney Australia Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Network, an authoritative painter listed in the Encyclopedia of Chinese Calligraphers and Painters, a senior member of Liu Cunhui's Modern Ink Art Academy, and president of Mopiaoxiang Calligraphy and Painting Academy. He studied at the Qi Baishi Freehand Brushwork Advanced Research Class at the Beijing Academy of Painting, under the tutelage of Liu Cunhui, a disciple of Lou Shibai. Specializing in ink freehand bird-and-flower painting, his works have been exhibited multiple times at provincial, municipal, and national art exhibitions, winning numerous awards. Many of his works have been published in the special issue "Portraits of National First-Class Artists" by Beijing Oriental Art Universe, and several pieces are collected by the Tai'an Museum and Oriental Art Universe. His traditional Chinese paintings have been appraised and certified by national collection institutions, with a market price of 18,000–20,000 RMB per square foot!
