Personal Profile

Shi Qingbao, born in 1967 in Liaoning Huludao, has loved painting since childhood. He graduated from the Art Department of Jinzhou Normal College in 1988, and in 1989 became a student under the guidance of Master Xie Hongjiang. He has also studied under disciples of the renowned Chinese painter Zhang Ting. He is currently a member of the Liaoning Province Gongbi Painting Society, a member of the Huludao City Artists Association, a member of the Huludao City Gongbi Painting Society, Vice Secretary-General of the Huludao Branch of the Liaoning Province Mao-style Calligraphy Association, and a member of the Zhongshan Painting Garden. He has participated in numerous painting and calligraphy exhibitions. He is currently studying at the Beijing Tsinghua University School of Fine Arts. After decades of artistic accumulation, he has gradually developed his own unique style, specializing in landscapes and bird-and-flower paintings. His ink paintings are highly collected and have rapidly appreciated in value, with prices rising year after year in recent years. Achievements: In 2001, ten ink-wash paintings including "Xian Shou Tu" were exhibited at the China Academy of Painting Gallery's National Exhibition. In 2008, his landscape painting "Love of the Snowy Village" was auctioned by Beijing Jiuge International Auction Co., Ltd. for RMB 450,000. In 2018, his landscape painting "Melody of the Wind" won an Excellence Award at the China Painting and Calligraphy Competition. In 2019, his landscape painting "Dawn over the Border Town" won the Third Prize at the China Spring Festival Cup Competition. Eight of his works have been collected by the China Academy of Painting and are highly favored by collectors.
