Qi Guoguang, born in 1955 in Xiangping (Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province). Member of the Communist Party of China, graduated from Beijing University of Economics and Liaoning Institute of Economic Management, former senior executive of a large domestic enterprise.
Currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Lantern City Farmers Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, Special Academician of the Fuxin Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Guest Professor at the Wang Erlie Art Museum, etc. Has been painting since childhood, formerly studied under Shang Shiqiu, a painter of the China Artists Association, and Li Ling, a national first-class master of classical art and member of the China Artists Association. Specializes in landscape painting, employing a blend of meticulous and freehand brushwork, pursuing artistic conception and embodying traditional aesthetic elements. His works emphasize traditional Chinese painting techniques, adhering to classical methods and principles, and have received widespread acclaim from all sectors of society. In recent years, his works have been frequently exhibited in provincial and municipal, as well as inter-city calligraphy and painting exhibitions, and have won awards. He was honored with the National Shengshi Cup Outstanding Works Selection. His works are highly prized and collected by numerous calligraphers, painters, and collectors.
