Personal Profile

Place of Birth Shaanxi Baoji, historically known as Chencang, where the famous saying from the Han Dynasty, "Openly repair the plank road, secretly cross Chencang," originated. The birthplace of Zhou and Qin cultures, where the land is honored by its people and the people are renowned through their land—culturally enduring and rich in talent. Date of Birth Yang Wenbing, pen name: Yueran, master of Shuangqing Tang, was born here in March 1984. His ancestors once held the high office of Censor-in-Chief. He began studying calligraphy at age eight, boldly writing couplets and plaques for villagers and local businesses. During his academic journey, he humbly sought guidance on the principles and techniques of calligraphy, achieving harmony between hand and spirit, art emerging from inner insight—thus beginning his journey in calligraphy creation. Educational Background Graduated from Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts in 2004. Pursued advanced studies at the Advanced Research Class of Hangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 2007. Formerly studied under mentors Zhong Mingshan, Wu Sanba, Lei Zhenmin, Zhang Guoqing, and Ru Gui. Learning Insights Deeply researched the theory and practice of calligraphy and seal carving, meticulously copying countless classical models with heartfelt devotion, refining his craft with focused concentration, forging a unique personal style. Years of dedicated study of classic calligraphic models, coupled with a passion for poetry and prose, broadening his cultural horizons and elevating his cultivation.
