He Zeya, born in 1996, is from Wuzhou, Jiangxi. He is a disciple of Guo Jianliang, a master of folk arts and crafts from Hainan. His wood sculptures have won awards in multiple art exhibitions and are collected by wood carving enthusiasts in Hainan, Beijing, Nanjing, and other places.
Since childhood, He Zeya has been learning wood carving, specializing in sculpting various Buddhist statues. For a long time, he has been deeply absorbed in carving, often losing track of meals and sleep. He believes that each wood sculpture possesses its own life—carving form, carving spirit, carving emotion—and he pours all his emotion into his wood carving art.
